À propos de cet audio

The award-winning creator of popular survival stories turns his attention to his own real life adventures in Minnesota and Alaska as he prepares for the grueling Iditarod sled dog race.

"The lure of the wilderness is always a potent draw, and Paulsen evokes its mysteries as well as anyone has since Jack London." (The Horn Book)

you can hear the emotions in his voice on certain story's and the musical accompaniment isnt to over the top and suites the mood and flow of the book perfectly. this was my gateway into audiobooks when i was young and forever will be one of my favorites

beautiful, truly to be cherished

This is my first time listening to Woodsong. It did not disappoint as expected, I have read the book several times. I much enjoyed giving my eyes a break late at night when I’d like to get immersed in a story, or in this case, a compilation of true accounts from the author himself.

Funny, sad, inspirational and whimsical. It’s all in woodsong.

Feels mostly real. Possible it’s embellished here and there. So much to think about. Do I agree with that? or that? Life & death. Dogs, dogs, wolves, and nature. Author’s poor wife? Crazy tests of solitary willpower that leave one hallucinating from exhaustion and very nearly leave one crippled or dead. Seems VERY adult to me. Surprised it’s rated for almost anyone old enough to read it. Gary Paulsen does a great job of reading his work. (Peter Coyote’s voice not required - I spent a while trying to track down that phantom edition.) ONCE I walked about 6 miles in minus thirty weather. The idea of actually LIVING, of THRIVING in WORSE conditions. It’s humbling and stunning.

Fantastic
