Beloved famous British actress Tamsyn Harris is in her early fifties and works hard to prove she's still got "it", despite her age. That means never revealing she's a lesbian, for fear it would threaten her acclaimed career. After an on-set incident blows up, she disappears to a retreat to lay low for a while.

Maggie Cooper is a successful author with two pseudonyms and suffering from burn out. It's hard enough trying to maintain both worlds, let alone keep them separate from real life. After checking herself into a retreat in Norfolk, the last thing she expects to find is the respected, beautiful actress she's had a crush on her whole life.

As passion sweeps them up, they agree it can only be a holiday fling. But is that enough? Can they just return to their lives and leave each other behind?

Pros: I adore this story. It's well written and I have a soft spot for the major themes, which I see as deciding whether or not to come out (Tamsyn), reconnecting with your art (Maggie), and how one person being closeted and the other not effects a relationship.

Cons: If you haven't listened to this narrator before, I highly recommend listening to the preview before purchase. If you find the narrator boring or not expressive enough, I doubt it'll get better for you as it didn't for me. She has a lovely voice, but she's not expressive enough with it for my tastes-- particularly when she's doing the narrative voice rather than the character voices. If she was as expressive when doing the narrative voice as she is when doing characters, I'd be very happy with her as a narrator, but as is she detracts from the story for me. Which, if anything, makes the quality of the story more impressive as it's good enough I'm on my third read-through despite that.
