Chloe Dennis, owner of the Curl Up and Dye Salon, is about to close the shop after another ordinary day when Finn McCarthy walks in and turns the ordinary into the extraordinary. Holy hotness! How has she never met the youngest of the McCarthys, and now that she has met him, why is it that she runs into him everywhere she goes?
Despite the undeniable sizzle of attraction between Finn and Chloe, she is dealing with life-changing news that makes her reluctant to get involved with anyone, let alone a man who plans to leave the island for good in two short weeks. Finn can’t understand why he reacts to Chloe the way he does or why she won’t give him a chance to see what they could be. When she makes it clear that it’s not going to happen between them, what else can he do but go forward with his plan to pack up and leave at the end of the month? Real Love, Real Life
This is certainly not your Grandmothers romance novel but, she would love it if she read it.
The 20th book in the Gansett series is one of the best yet. Packed full of characters who are so realistic dealing with issues that many of us deal with. Marie always has her finger on the pulse of "real life" in every book she writes.
Intriguing new characters are introduced while we find out how those we love from past books are doing.
If you've read any Gansett books in the past, I can't imagine how you wouldn't just love soaking up this latest installment. So excited to read book 21 and beyond.

Gansett Island
I Am always thrilled to see a new release on Gansett and this was just awesome. The stories are always great and so much fun. The best series I have EVER EVER read. Keep them coming👏

Love at first sight
Finn McCarthy is the last of the McCarthy family who hasn't fallen in love. He's ready to leave the island and get back to his "real life". His male relatives make fun of his man bun so he decides to get a haircut at the only salon on the island instead of waiting for a barber. Chloe Dennis owns and operates the salon. They have a meeting of the heads - literally - and Finn realizes that he needs to know Chloe much better. She doesn't want to get involved because he's leaving in 2 weeks and she had health problems that she's not letting anyone know about. Try as they might, they can't stay away from each other. Add in Finn's crazy ex and they have quite a journey ahead of them. I love how Marie Force lets us see what's happening with the other McCarthy family members and doesn't make the story just about Finn and Chloe. There's a hint of the next story at the end and I can't wait for it! Joan Delaware does a wonderful narration as usual.

Fantastic book
i wnjoyef this story so much. Thank you for writing about RA. I take methotrexate for my RA and my SLE Lupus and peple do not kno how debilitating it is ns think it is just mainly for old people... THANK YOU 😊

She’s done it again
Marie has an amazing way of bringing attention to issues that many of us are silently dealing with, yet maintains the love story. Giving us hope and a happy feeling inside. The story of Finn and Chloe takes us back to Gansett for another riveting story of love at first sight and an in-depth revisit to all of the residents of Gansett Island.
