shedding light and perspective

The content is absolutely - needed in this world/culture - today.
A word of advice here is necessitated for establishing perspective, to what the author tries to conveys...

The author does explain with ease and with a tone of very high level of understanding what Teresa of Avila has so beautifully laced for us in the Interior Castle.
BUT , in this series, she is completely uprooted from who she is.
Teresa repeatedly says over and over again – in all her writings - that she is a daughter of the Catholic Church. Certainly, she would not agree with the critical view the author has of her origins.
Granted, with all due respect, the Catholic Church is corrupt, sure! (only one more opinion). Nevertheless, Teresa would of die instead of repudiating her faith AND adhesion to the Catholic Church AND its teachings.
In perspective, her writings are a response to the Reformation, she is known to be a Counter-Reformer. She knows - very well indeed - In fact - that the very nature of all of what she is writing, under obedience - Is Wisdom from Holy-Spirit given to her - BECAUSE she is a Catholic Church's Daughter – not a single word would have been written from her, has she not been a Catholic daughter.
Without this “Organized Religion” as the author presents it, none of this Wisdom would have been given to us today. Perhaps, keeping in mind, the fact that the catholic doctrine, despised here, is the very foundation of all she conveys.

It seems, permission is given here to select ONLY what support individual opinions from her writings and disregard what is not quite endorse. Not very scholarly. Perhaps, this will serve as a word of advice before listening this whole series. The subject is presented heavily in light of Protestant beliefs, views and opinions.
