Hi, I'm glad you're here today! In today's episode, I talk about the complex landscape that is applying for an internal promotion. The majority of interview prep, resume building, and job application resources out there all center around applying to a NEW job - such as a new college grad in their first role, switching companies, or entering a whole new industry. When I was applying for my first internal promotion WITHIN my same company, I found it difficult to find specific examples and scenarios for those who were applying internally and how that may look different. I share my experiences with preparation, what timelines looked like, and how I found success in my first go at an internal promotion.
