Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. What a morning. We bottomed out at 10 degrees overnight. but step outside right now and you'll feel the recovery already underway. We're sitting at 36 degrees under clear skies. High pressure is taking charge today. That means sunshine statewide with highs climbing near 39 degrees. In the next 24 hours. Tonight turns partly cloudy with another chill settling in. Southern towns drop to 20 degrees. Central areas reach 19 degrees. The White Mountains dip to 17. Saturday brings our warmest day in a while. A cold front approaches from the west, pushing warm air north. You'll hit 48 degrees in southern and central New Hampshire. The White Mountains reach 47. but keep an eye on the sky between 11 A.M. and 1 P.M. Scattered rain showers could develop in the mountains. That front sweeps through Saturday night. Then Sunday. A trough drags light snow across the whole state. You'll see about an inch of accumulation. Morning travel could be slick. Highs only reach 33 or 34 degrees. Sunday night is when winter reminds us it's not done. Lows plummet to 6 degrees in the south. Central areas hit 4. The White Mountains drop to minus S One. Monday stays bitter with sunshine and a high of just 24 degrees. In Here's your heads-up for week ahead, a brief taste of spring Saturday, then snow Sunday, followed by a deep freeze early next week.
