Dr. Laurette Willis's mom took her to yoga at the age of seven, thinking it would be a resolution for young Lorette's emotional eating. In reality, yoga is a considered a "missionary arm" of Hinduism and New Age spirituality. During her decades-long involvement with yoga, she says she felt like a "walking wound looking for a bandaid".
