 Since my arrival in South America, one question has been asked more than any other Why are there so many revolutions here? In this exploration, I aim to shed light on this complex history. I believe that militarism is steadily fading from much of the continent, giving way to a growing desire for stability and ordered liberty among all social classes. The legacy of colonial rule has fostered a deep-seated distrust of authority, leading to a tumultuous journey toward effective governance. Each nation has its unique story, yet they share common threads of struggle and aspiration. As civic engagement rises and immigration boosts industrial progress, South Americans are gradually crafting the governance that best suits their distinct needs. My narrative seeks to unravel the intricate tapestry of South American history, highlighting the unique paths of each country while recognizing their shared experiences.
