  • BONUS Episode: A Prayer for Bold Faith
    Sep 12 2025

    Unedited Bonus Episode
This is not like our usual episodes of 7-Minute Devotions for Busy Parents. I felt a strong prompting from the Lord to share this because of the tragic events surrounding the murder of Charlie Kirk. My heart is heavy, and as a parent, I believe God is calling us to more than comfort: He is calling us to bold faith, to courage, and to teaching our children to love and follow Him even when it’s hard.

    What this episode includes:

    • A prayer for parents to stand strong and faithful in uncertain times
    • Encouragement to model bold love for God in both words and actions
    • A reminder that, as parents, we have a sacred opportunity and responsibility to point our children toward God—even when fear, grief, or confusion try to steal our courage

    Please note:

    • I have been careful not to go into graphic detail or vivid descriptions of violence or trauma, especially out of respect for children who may be listening.
    • Because this is unedited, you’ll hear more of my raw thoughts, occasional pauses, and emotion in my voice. But God has pressed this on my heart, and I believe there’s something here worth sharing.

    Why this feels different:
I’m nervous to post this. It feels vulnerable. It’s not polished. But I believe God wants to use it to encourage others and remind us all that faith isn’t always neat. It’s often messy and brave. And as parents, our children need to see us living that faith out loud.

If this episode lands on your heart, I pray it gives you courage. May we not shrink back, but instead, may we lead our homes with bold faith, showing our kids what it means to love God even when the world is hurting.
