In today's special episode of A Clan of Two, Hunter and Grif give a descriptive battle report of their Round 3 game in the TTS Shatterpoint Premiere League, which had the wonderful pleasure of being streamed on Twitch as well! The pair break down their Premiere lists, including what they brought, potential teams for certain match-ups, and then ultimately the two squads that each player brought and why they brought them. Grif then sets the scene, describing the mission he chose as first player and the way each player deployed their squads, before him and Hunter dive into a turn-by-turn breakdown of the match.

It's review day with the Clan of Two, and today's episode is all about the much anticipated This is Rogue One Squad Pack! The last of the squad packs based on the (fantastic) Rogue One movie, this box covers the rest of the Rogue One crew, with units that are eager to get into the fight alongside their friends Cassian Andor and K-2SO. This squad pack includes Jyn Erso, Stardust as it's Primary Unit, the Imperial defector Bodhi Rook as it's Secondary Unit, and finally Baze Malbus and Chirrut Îmwe as it's dual-model Support Unit.

Hunter and Grif dive into each of their Unit and Stance cards, covering all the flavorful abilities the squad has, and then provide their thoughts on how the team will play with the current line-up of Rebel Alliance units. As always, they finish this review episode with Premiere lists that they devised that include the units for This Is Rogue One.

In this episode, the team finally tackles the latest mission pack, First Contact! Hunter gives his initial impressions from playing during the pre-release event at Adepticon, and then he and Grif go over their experiences with the mission during their recent games, before diving into the specific Struggles and rules of the mission set. They cover ideal deployments, thoughts about when to change the struggle and when not to, and other tips to improve your play on this new and exciting mission!

Editor's Note: Grif here! Hunter mentions during the episode that Republic lists are unable to contest all possible active objectives in the first struggle from deployment using Commander Pond's updated Innate ability. After some testing on my side, it is possible to contest all 3 objectives, but it will heavily depend on the terrain that is used for the board. So don't feel down on Ponds if you were looking forward to using him!

In today's episode, the team has a very candid discussion regarding their thoughts on the Balance Update, now that a month has passed as well as several events using the new Units. Grif and Hunter discuss recent games with the Hello There league, covering their experiences with and against updated Units, and if any of their initial impressions changed overall from the previous episode. They also discuss planned lists they're practicing with in anticpation of the Lone Star Open in August, which is shaping up to be an interesting event with the Balance Update.

The day has finally arrived! The long awaited balance update for Shatterpoint has released, and A Clan of Two is excited to talk about their first impressions of the changes! The (rather long) episode provides a quick look at the changes to each of the 31 Units that were updated in this document, as well as Hunter and Grif's thoughts on how the unit might perform now.

The team goes over the update document as it appears (with the exception of Commander Ponds, who is with the rest of the Galactic Republic units, and the Ewoks, which are all grouped at the end), so if you want to skip around and hear their thoughts on your favorite units, they should be easy to find!

Cast Note: We mention that Jango can still end activations with his updated Not So Fast ability. This is incorrect in the context that we provided, as the ability resolves before the unit actually activates, so even if a wound was scored, they would still get to activate, albeit now Injured.

Additionally, there were some drops on Grif's end during the episode, so apologies in advance for the weird audio. It was decided that since Hunter still was providing commentary it was easier to just leave in rather than try to edit around!
