Hello and welcome to 2026. I start my journey this year by chatting with Shannon Golf Club who are Jimmy Bruen All Ireland Champions 2025. With me on the chat are Manager Colm Hanley and players Derek Sweeney, David Jones and Keith Buckley. This was so enjoyable with 4 sound gentlemen. From getting to know each one of them to hearing about how the management prepare for the season. Onward to Munster West and the 5 matches that got them their Blue Pennant. They then talk through their All Ireland Journey to Mannan Castle up north and tough victories over Gowran Park, Lucan and finally Clonakilty in the All Ireland Final to finally get their Green pennant and end a long long wait to be crowned champions. A wonderful listen.

  • Class Chats - Douglas Ladies Senior Cup Winners 2025

Welcome back to another Class Chat. In this episode Will welcomes back Clodagh Coughlan, Aoife NiThuama and Karen O'Neill from Douglas Golf Club. They recently retained the Ladies Senior Cup All Ireland Title in 2025. This is an amazing thing to do as we all know that winning is so hard. They came through very difficult weather conditions along the way having to win in the rain in Macroom to retain Munster South and then onward to Douglas Golf Club where they beat some strong opposition in Knock, Co Sligo and finally Lahinch in the Final with seriously strong winds. Having the finals in Douglas was a big deal and something not lost on the ladies. Being able to win in front of home support is something that they will never forget. Neither will I. This is a lovely chat with 3 really super people and serious golfers.
