Habakkuk questioned God and heard from the Lord in chapters 1 and 2. Here in chapter 3, he wants to see a demonstration of God’s wrath and mercy. He closes with praise to the Lord. Do you turn your complaints to God eventually to praise?

In Habakkuk 2, God answers the questions from Habakkuk in chapter 1, and Habakkuk has a few more complaints for God in chapter 2. After you pray, are you patient for God to answer? How long do you wait?

The first two chapters of Habakkuk are his complaints, or his “prayers” to God, and God’s replies, which puzzle Habakkuk. That may happen to you too; from time to time, as you pray, you are puzzled by God’s answers.

Today, we conclude the Book of Nahum. Nahum graphically describes the fall on Nineveh, the capital of Assyria. Are you on the right or wrong side of God?

In the second chapter of the Book of Nahum, God turns His sight on judging Nineveh, like He told the prophet Jonah He would do. Have you thought you heard from the Lord, but nothing happened? Is God teaching you patience?

Nahum is a sequel to the Book of Jonah. Nahum was God’s messenger to announce the fall of Nineveh, the arrogant capital of the Assyrian Empire. This message of coming judgment from the Lord was certain and irrevocable.

Micah 7 is a beautiful balance of God’s judgment and His restoration. He does both. Are you suffering under His judgment? Pray for restoration. Have you been restored? Shout the Hallelujah!

In Micah 6, God asks what He has done to weary us in our relationship with Him. He also outlines what He requires of us. How is your personal relationship with God? Are you energetic, or weary? Are you acting on what He requires of you?
