  • He Called France First? 🇬🇼 The Guinea-Bissau Coup Mystery (Part 1)
    Dec 9 2025

    Alkebulanians,

There’s been another coup in Africa. It feels like we’re saying this every other week, first Madagascar, now Guinea-Bissau. But before you scroll past the headlines, pause. Everything isn’t as it seems.

In this episode, I dive into the suspicious ousting of President Umaro Sissoco Embaló by the military. On the surface, they claim it’s about corruption. But when you look at the timeline, the maths don’t add up.

👇 Considering a move or visit to Africa but don’t know where to start?

📘 Get the Back to Africa Handbook + Sahel Upgrade:

Why did the ousted President’s first move involve calling the French press (France 24)? 🇫🇷 Why launch a coup just one day before election results were due to be announced? And why does this smell less like a revolution and more like a strategic “fake coup” designed to maintain the status quo?

I’m peeling back the layers on the neocolonial games being played in West Africa, the “bamboozlement” of the people, and why political literacy is the only weapon we have left. From the sham elections to the French influence in non-French colonies, we are connecting the dots that the mainstream media ignores.

    In this episode:

    * The French Connection: Why did Embaló report to France 24 first?

    * Timing is Everything: A coup launched 24 hours before election results. Coincidence?

    * The “Fake Coup” Theory: Was this staged to avoid admitting electoral defeat?

    * Diaspora Wake-Up Call: Parallels between African and American political “tomfoolery.”

Ignorance is no longer an affliction; it’s a choice. Don’t choose it.

Join the conversation: Does this coup benefit the people of Guinea-Bissau, or just the politicians? Let me know in the comments.

I will try to get more info before the screening so we can also talk about this during the LIVE chat with all attendees.

  • Africa is being GENTRIFIED
    Nov 30 2025

So sometimes have an impromptu laid back live show where I turn on the camera and riff on a topic of note for that time. Did that yesterday and what was a chat about gentrification of Africa turned into an epic conversation.

I wish more of you had caught this show live. Took a while to get going but after an hour we were off to the races. I will say no more.

  • Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso REJECT the ICC
    Sep 28 2025

Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger have just announced they will withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC), calling it an “instrument of neo-colonialist repression.” In a joint statement, the three military-led Sahel states rejected the authority of the UN-backed court in The Hague, arguing that it has failed to prosecute powerful nations for war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and crimes of aggression, while disproportionately targeting African countries.

Russia’s growing role in the region cannot be ignored. All three countries now maintain close ties with Moscow, which has provided military and diplomatic support as they face escalating violence from jihadist groups linked to al-Qaeda and ISIS.

With Russian President Vladimir Putin under an ICC arrest warrant himself, the alignment between Moscow and the Sahel is only deepening.

The ICC has yet to respond to this historic decision. But for many, the question is clear: should Africa’s justice system be decided in The Hague, or built on African soil?

  • Tyla Said She’s Coloured Not Black. Here’s the Real History Why
    Sep 18 2025

Get The Crusaders Alert Now: The Crusaders Episode 2

When Tyla released her new EP WWP (We Wanna Party), headlines called it a flop after just 3,700 U.S. first-week sales. But what really caught my attention wasn’t the numbers, it was the backlash from Black America over her identifying as “Coloured.”

ALKEBULAN Discover The True Africa is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

I’m not here to defend Tyla.

I’m using this moment to explain: What “Coloured” means in South Africa, how apartheid created the “Coloured” category to divide people of African descent and the painful history of racial classification laws like the Population Registration Act (1950).

I also talk about why the Coloured vs. Black debate continues to cause confusion and what it reveals about global Black identity and solidarity.

Watch your inboxes as I will be posting an article on this as well as a premium article on wedge politics.
