  • How to Sip Smarter this Dry January with David Burtka
    Jan 8 2026

Katie sits down with actor, chef, and cookbook author David Burtka for an inspiring conversation about family cooking, gardening, and why mocktails deserve just as much love as cocktails - especially during Dry January. David shares how he and his husband, Neil Patrick Harris, teamed up on their new book, Both Sides of the Glass, filled with seasonal drink recipes—both alcoholic and nonalcoholic—so everyone at the table can enjoy no matter how they're starting the year. David explains he first got into cooking after taking a step back from acting. He decided to enroll in cooking school which later led him to train with legends like Cat Cora and Thomas Keller and ultimately owning his own catering company. These days, David is juggling life with teenage twins and spending lots of time on their family farm in the Hamptons, cooking simple, nourishing meals with veggies from his own garden—many of which he cans and pickles himself. It’s an episode filled with fresh ideas for a New Year reset, whether you're embracing Dry January, rethinking your routine, or just looking for new inspiration in the kitchen.

  • It’s New Year’s Goals Rather Than Resolutions
    Jan 1 2026

Katie is solo today and diving into one of her favorite topics: New Year’s. It’s one of those moments in the year that feels like a true reset for her, a chance to set fresh intentions and map out the goals she’s excited to chase. This year, she’s focused on growing her business with a new Substack, website, and YouTube channel, and on being more present in everyday life instead of glued to her phone. She’s sharing the thoughtful advice and simple tips that help her stay grounded—and of course, she’s kicking things off the way she always does, with a classic Southern bowl of Hoppin’ John: black-eyed peas for luck and collard greens for good fortune.

  • The Great Debate: Ham or Prime Rib for Christmas Dinner with Ryan Biegel
    Dec 18 2025

Katie is back with her husband Ryan, and the two are diving into all their holiday favorites as the season kicks into full swing. It’s already been a whirlwind in the Biegel house—Katie just hosted a cookie exchange with some of New York’s top women in food, inspired by her Aunt Pat’s legendary church-cookie exchange party, and now they’re gearing up for their annual holiday bash. Expect the classics (ham, shrimp cocktail, martinis) alongside their new, totally over-the-top traditions: an ice luge for peppermint shots, chicken nuggets topped with caviar, and fancy jelly shots. Katie admits Christmas used to be one of her least favorite holidays, but thanks to Ryan, it’s become one she looks forward to all year long. And of course, the biggest question remains… will Christmas dinner be prime rib or ham? Tune in to find out!
