Anything Pawsible Episode 12 Unlikely Teammates: A Surgery and Toxicology Collaboration. A Conversation with Criticalist and Toxicologist Dr. Justine Lee, DVM, DACVECC, DABT

  • Résumé

  • A collaboration for the ages! Surgery and Toxicology combine to make this episode truly special. Certain specialists (surgery and toxicology) rarely work together but occasionally their relationship is imperative for the best patient outcome. I was so happy to be joined by Dr. Justine Lee, DVM, DACVECC, DABT (VetGirl) to discuss Batteries, Gorilla Glue, Yeast, and other toxins that could be helped with surgical intervention.

To be sure, if your pet has eaten a toxin or you are worried that your pet has eaten a toxin please contact the poison control hotline or the ASPCA Poison Control. There are joys in using a multidisciplinary veterinary medical team to save a life. This episode is not only fun, fascinating, but also potentially lifesaving.
