When Hulissa Aguilar was 12 years old her father was detained by ICE. She recounts the trauma and strain on her and her family. Now a college student studying politics and law, she remembers how it affected her life. Even though the scars remain she has worked hard to heal her past. She is now a spokesperson for the undocumented and has aspirations of getting involved in politics and becoming an immigration attorney.
