To celebrate ten years of the National Theatre’s New Views Programme, Audible and the National Theatre bring you New Voices, ten captivating audio plays written by young people, delving into thought-provoking narratives and profound emotions.

From poignant tragedies to modern fables, this series of plays offer unique perspectives on the human experience. Witness the transformative power of compassion, explore the challenges of living with autism, and unravel the patchwork of testimonies from the Kosovan war. Each play is a journey, filled with rich storytelling and diverse characters.

New Views is the National Theatre’s annual playwriting programme. Nationwide, students aged 14 – 19 receive mentoring from professional playwrights to support them in writing their own plays. These scripts were written by young people who had previously taken part in the programme and have since had their plays adapted into audio plays, exclusive to Audible.
