Established in 2013, Autism CRC is Australia's independent national source of evidence for best practice in relation to autism across the lifespan and the spectrum.

We develop and deliver evidence-based outcomes through our unique collaboration with autistic people, researchers and government.

Together we are addressing needs and co-producing outputs that increase the quality of life and health outcomes of autistic people and their families.

This podcast series brings together presentations, findings, resources and discussions from previous webinars and events in a new format.

  • Improving assessment of functioning for all children: The new National Framework

    This episode introduces the National Framework for assessing children's functional strengths and support needs in Australia and how it can be used to improve policy and practice.

    It is relevant for practitioners, parents and policy makers.

    Presented by:

    Prof David Trembath was co-chair of the team that developed the National Framework. With a background in speech pathology, he brings to his work over 25 years of clinical, clinical education, and clinical-research experience including co-leadership of the development and update of two National Clinical Guidelines.

    Dr Rachelle Wicks is a neurodivergent Research Fellow, with a background in psychology and early childhood education and development. Rachelle was a core member of the team that developed the Framework, and is leading its cross-sector implementation in the community.
