In a game where BYU was supposed to lose, they refused to go down. Bear Bachmeier led a fourth-quarter Cougar comeback to force overtime! He looked like a true freshman, but redeemed himself late in the game. They made the plays they had to win, and came back down double digits in the fourth quarter for the first time since 2015. They improve to 6-0 and now face their toughest opponent yet, who happens to be their archrival, the Utah Utes.
There is so much history and bad blood between the “team up north” and the “team down south”. It is a rivalry dating back to 1922, marked by countless one-score games and wild finishes. BYU has won the last two and looks to make it three this Saturday! This game will award the winner an inside track to the #2 seed in the Big 12 Championship race.
