The Oklahoma Sooners have the No. 42 recruiting class, as of July 7. Further, the Sooners do not have an in-state commitment. That’s a circumstance that needs examining. The good news lies with another strong group of defensive line recruits and the future of the program being quarterback Bowe Bentley.

As for the schedule, I break down one of the nation’s most difficult and give my season-record prediction.

Notre Dame added three wide receiver recruits – Brayden Robinson, Devin Fitzgerald and Kaydon Finley – from Friday through Sunday. Combined, Notre Dame has five wide receiver commitments, a position it needed more talent and numbers. It’s more than numbers, as defined during this podcast.

The Fighting Irish reached a commitment total of 25, with top prospects still on the board. Notre Dame has a legitimate chance to sign the nation’s best overall recruiting class.

Syracuse football added 5-star Calvin Russell, one of the nation’s most coveted wide receiver recruits. Being from Miami (Fla.) Northwestern, Fran Brown’s staff also sent a message of being able to recruit any top Florida football recruit and winning.
