Video game adaptations don't have the best reputation when it comes to their critical reception, but none may be as infamous as Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, which holds just a 4% on Rotten Tomatoes. We're revisiting the infamous sequel to find what is worth celebrating in this film.

One of Capcom's biggest franchises got its own big screen adaptation in 2002 with Resident Evil, directed by the same man that brought us Mortal Kombat in 1995: Paul W. S. Anderson. Critics were not kind, as is the case with most video game movies, but the movie found its audience and spawned numerous sequels.

One of us loves the RE games, the other has never picked one up. Will this affect our enjoyment of Milla Jovovich? Unlikely.

If you ask someone if they remember that talking toy movie from the 90s, they will probably tell you about Woody and Buzz. But in between Toy Story 1 and 2, Small Soldiers hit the big screen with a PG-13 attitude. Loaded with an incredible cast including Kirsten Dunst, Phil Hartman, and Tommy Lee Jones, we believe this movie is worthy of having a legacy outside of the Pixar shadow.
