  • 185 | Dogs Don’t See the World Like Humans: Why Reactive Dogs Struggle in “Humansville"
    Mar 9 2026

    Hey Dog Lover🐾

If you’ve ever wondered why your dog reacts to things that seem completely normal to you… this episode will help you see the world through your dog’s eyes.

Humans live in a world of social rules and expectations.
    Be polite.
    Be friendly.
    Get along with everyone.

But dogs don’t live in that world.

Dogs live in a world of social units and assessment — where every new dog, person, or situation has to be evaluated before it’s considered safe.

When we forget that difference, we unintentionally create confusion for our dogs. And that confusion often shows up as fear, anxiety, or reactivity.

In this episode, we explore the relevance gap between humans and dogs and why expecting dogs to see the world the way we do can make life much harder for them.

Understanding this shift can change how you see your dog — and your relationship — forever.

If you’re living with a reactive or fearful dog, this is an episode you won't want to miss this!

    Hope you enjoy this episode

  • 184 | Ready to Stop Controlling Your Reactive Dog? The Shift That Changes Everything
    Mar 5 2026

    Hey Dog Lover! 🐾

In this episode, I’m diving into a powerful shift that changes everything: control yourself and influence the dog — don’t try to control the dog.

If you have a reactive or fearful dog, it’s easy to fall into control mode. More commands. More management. More micromanaging every situation. It feels responsible. It feels proactive. But what if it’s actually keeping you stuck?

We’ll explore the difference between control and influence, why hesitation erodes leadership, and how real change begins when you stop waiting for your dog to calm down so you can feel steady. This conversation will challenge you — gently — to consider whether you’re truly ready for change… not just for your dog, but for yourself.

    Hope you enjoy this one!

    Tracy

  • 183 | Why Doing Less Feels So Wrong With A Reactive Dog
    Mar 2 2026

    Hey Dog Lover! 🐾

Do you feel like if you’re not actively training your reactive dog, you’re failing them?

Does slowing down make you anxious… like you’re falling behind or not doing enough?

Have you ever tried to “do less” with your dog — and immediately felt guilty about it?

In this episode, I’m sharing why doing less with your reactive or fearful dog can feel so uncomfortable — and why that discomfort might actually be the doorway to real change.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that progress comes from doing more: more commands, more exposure, more management, more effort. But what if your dog doesn’t need more from you? What if they need clearer?

We’ll talk about hustle-based training culture, the exhaustion that comes from trying harder, and why influence and leadership often grow in quieter, steadier spaces. If you’ve been feeling tired, stuck, or unsure whether slowing down is the right move, this episode will help you understand what’s really happening underneath that tension

    Hope you enjoy this one!

Have you tried more training, more treats, more techniques… and you’re still wondering why nothing is really changing?

If the world feels heavy and your home is starting to feel tense, this conversation is for you.

  • 181 | Are You in Survival Mode With Your Reactive Dog? The Reset You Need Right Now
    Feb 23 2026

    Hey Dog Lover! 🐾

Do you feel like you’re just going through the motions with your reactive dog?

Has your world quietly gotten smaller… even though you swore it never would?

Are you surviving with your dog instead of intentionally leading?

In this episode, I’m sharing an honest conversation about survival mode, shrinking leadership, and the difference between going through the motions and intentional movement so you can reconnect with your dog without trying harder or doing more.

Sometimes leadership doesn’t slip away because we explode.

Sometimes it slips away because we quietly withdraw.

If you’ve been feeling heavy, tired, or stuck — not because you don’t care, but because the world feels loud and overwhelming — this episode will help you shift from survival to intentional presence with your dog.

This also marks the beginning of the Calm Down, Dog! Reset happening inside the Bootcamp community — where we focus on doing less, noticing more, and rebuilding steady leadership from the inside out.

    Enjoy!

  • 180 | How to Lead a Fearful or Reactive Dog (Without Force, Treats or Trying Harder)
    Feb 19 2026

    Hey Dog Lover 🐾

Are you trying everything with your reactive or fearful dog… but nothing seems to stick?

Do you find yourself talking more, soothing more, managing more — and still feeling stuck?

Have you ever stopped to ask… what if leadership isn’t about doing more, but about becoming clearer?

    We’re breaking down:

    • Why “it’s okay” isn’t always helpful

    • The difference between clarity and noise

    • What dogs actually respond to (hint: it’s not volume)

    • How your nervous system affects your dog

    • Why your presence matters more than you think

If you’ve ever had that moment of realization — “I didn’t realize how much influence I have” — this episode will shift the way you see yourself in your dog’s world.

    Hope you enjoy! xoxox

  • 179 | Reactive Dog Not Improving? The Leadership Shift Most Owners Miss
    Feb 16 2026

    Hey Dog Lover 🐾

Are you doing everything “right” with your reactive or fearful dog… but still not seeing progress?

Have you ever wondered if the thing holding your dog back might not actually be your dog?

Does it feel uncomfortable to admit that maybe your influence matters more than you thought?

In this episode, I’m sharing the leadership shift most reactive dog owners miss so you can stop trying harder and start leading clearer.

    We talk about:

    • The uncomfortable realization that influence isn’t blame

    • Why awareness doesn’t automatically equal leadership

    • The difference between empathy and direction

    • Why tools (yes, even treats) don’t create trust

    • How shifting from shame to curiosity changes everything

If you’ve ever had that quiet thought — “What if I’m part of the pattern?” — this episode will help you reframe that realization as empowerment, not failure.

Because if you’re part of the equation…

You’re also part of the solution.

    Hope you enjoy this one!

  • 178 | Is ‘Good Enough’ Keeping Your Dog Stuck? The Hidden Cost of Avoidance in Fearful Dogs
    Feb 12 2026

    Hey Dog Lover! 🐾

Have you ever settled for “good enough” with your dog because pushing felt risky, exhausting, or unfair?

Do you avoid certain situations, walks, or challenges because you don’t want to make things worse — even though your dog’s world feels smaller than it used to?

Have you wondered whether being gentle, patient, and understanding might actually be slowing your dog’s progress?

In this episode, I’m unpacking a phase many thoughtful dog owners find themselves in — choosing “good enough” because it feels safer than asking for more.

We talk about how avoidance can masquerade as kindness, why reassurance without direction isn’t neutral for dogs, and how settling into “good enough” can quietly keep fear and reactivity in place. This conversation isn’t about pushing your dog, ignoring fear, or demanding perfection.

It’s about understanding the difference between compassion that protects… and leadership that helps your dog move forward knowing they’re not alone.
