O Lord, Remember Me (Bible Devotional) – A Cry for God’s Mercy and Help Life often brings moments when we feel overlooked, forgotten, or stuck in seasons of waiting. But the Bible shows us a powerful truth: God never forgets His children. In Psalm 106:4-5, the psalmist prays, “Remember me, Lord, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them.” This simple yet profound prayer, “O Lord, remember me,” reflects a heart longing for God’s mercy, favor, and breakthrough. Throughout Scripture, people cried out for God’s remembrance in different situations: Hannah asked God to remember her in 1 Samuel 1:11, and He blessed her with Samuel. Nehemiah prayed in Nehemiah 13:14 for God to remember his faithfulness in rebuilding the walls. The thief on the cross in Luke 23:42 asked Jesus to remember him, and was promised eternal life. When you pray, “O Lord, remember me,” you are declaring faith in God’s promises, trusting that He has not abandoned you. As Isaiah 49:15-16 reminds us, “I will not forget you!
