During a recent conversation with Zane Lowe on Apple Music One to celebrate the release, Tomlinson opened up about his personal journey. He revealed he's reached a point in his life where he's ready to enjoy things again after dealing with some darker times. He told Lowe, "I'm at a point in my life now where I've had a lot on my plate, so I'm ready to enjoy life. That's what this record is about—celebrating getting out the other side of something a little bit dark."
The album was written during an extended stay in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, marking what Tomlinson describes as his most optimistic body of work yet. The record features twelve new tracks produced by Nico Rebscher.
Beyond music, Tomlinson's got major touring plans. His "How Did We Get Here?" world arena tour kicks off in spring twenty twenty-six across Europe and North America, with North American dates beginning June third in Vancouver and wrapping July twenty-fourth in Miami. The tour will hit major cities including Los Angeles, New York, and Boston.
Looking at his immediate future, Tomlinson is set to headline the Las Vegas Grand Prix on November twenty-second as part of F1 Grid Gigs presented by American Express, performing an exclusive headline set following the Drivers' Parade.
