À propos de cet audio
Brian Kohberger pled guilty on July 2, 2025, avoiding the death penalty in the murders of four University of Idaho students. He received four consecutive life sentences plus 10 years—and gave up all rights to appeal. No motive was ever revealed.
Families reacted with outrage. The Goncalves and Kernodle families wanted the death penalty. The Chapins, once calling for “an eye for an eye,” accepted the deal but said, “This ain’t justice. No judge presided, no jury weighed the truth.”
At sentencing, the surviving roommate spoke, families gave emotional impact statements, and Kohberger stayed silent. The judge declared him “forever removed from civilized society.”
Now, Kohberger faces life in general population—working 40–60 hours a week, no protective custody. One prison expert put it bluntly: “The convicts are going to eat him up.”
A plea deal, no closure—was justice really served?
