For our final game in this year's horror category, we're covering 2015's Until Dawn from Supermassive Games. In a game where players must make choices that impact the story, there is much to discuss, but also many spoilers. So be forewarned!

The brothers discuss their favorite and least favorite characters, the choices they made throughout the story, and the fates of the 8 playable characters in their respective play throughs.

  • Episode 042: SOMA
    Sep 24 2025

The horror continues with 2015's SOMA, developed and published by Frictional Games. Boasting a deep, thought provoking story, SOMA offers a unique horror game experience for the Brothers & Boss Battles catalogue.

The brothers enjoyed the rich story of SOMA but had issues with some of the gameplay mechanics. Themes of the game's story end up spurring a philosophical debate on what it means to be human.

  • Episode 041: The Evil Within 2
    Sep 10 2025

Spooky season is right around the corner and we're back with another round of horror games. We're getting started with the sequel to the winner of last year's survival horror Brodown episode. The Evil Within 2 was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in October 2017 and was developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. Did the sequel live up to our expectations?

The brothers naturally spend some time comparing this game to the stellar first installment of the series. They also discuss the story and how it fits into The Evil Within universe as a whole. Stay tuned until the end of the episode to hear the brothers' individual game stats with some staggering differences between them.

    Aug 27 2025

It's gametime! This week's episode sees Mario Superstar Baseball, Sega Soccer Slam, and NFL Street enter the brodown arena. Which of these cartoony sports games will come out on top?

Ant tries to argue that Mario Superstar Baseball is the best game because he feels baseball is the best sport. Pete argues that the simplicity of Soccer Slam should solidify it as the best arcade type game. Tom hopes NFL Street's robust single player experience can score a touchdown for him.

  • Episode 039: NFL Street
    Aug 13 2025

We round out the cartoony sports category with some attitude. NFL Street was released for the PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox on January 13, 2004 and was developed by EA Tiburon and published by EA Big.

The brothers can't help but compare NFL Street to the Madden series. Ant has a bone to pick about not being included on Pete and Tom's created team.

This week the brothers ask what is your favorite over the top sports game that we haven't covered in this category? NFL Blitz, NHL Hitz, or MLB Slugfest.
