In our latest episode, we speak with Aletha Maybank, MD, MPH of the American Medical Association to discuss her work in health equity and the importance of addressing social determinants of health. She emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in the development and deployment of AI in healthcare. We explored how collaboration and coalition-building are key to advancing health equity efforts in today's climate but most importantly, Dr. Maybank highlighted the importance of sharing research findings, even if they are not favorable, and the need for spaces where researchers can come together and learn from each other.
