That was not quite the case tonight in Minnesota to start the second half of the season. After a hot start to the game, where this one was played on the Sky’s terms, they got out to a 24-18 lead through the first quarter. However, that work would be undone by way of a(nother) untimely barrage of turnovers both to close the first and throughout the second quarter. In the second, while dealing with early foul trouble from Kamilla Cardoso, they would also see seven total — three from Cardoso and four from Reese — that almost all ended up in points for the Lynx. Through the middle quarters, the Sky would be outscored 52-26 as the Sky lost their flow and control of the game, succumbing to multiple double-digit Lynx runs that pinned the Sky down by 20, sending this one essentially out of reach.
