  • Episode 5: What We Watched [Zootopia 2, Bugonia]
    Dec 9 2025

Today's episode features two polar opposite films. One that was freaking awesome, and one that... is. We're talking about Disney Animation's new Zootopia 2 which is just an all around great film about partners and why we shouldn't make fun of people who aren't like us (animals in the movie of course), and then you have the snorefest Bugonia which, as mention many times, is OSCAR BAIT. That's literally all it is. Its a bunch of weird scenes thrown together to get the Academy's attention. At least it isn't 2 hours of Emma Stone nakie. Bugonia, unlike Poor Things, has a plot. It's significantly better than Kinds of Kindness. Also, a hilarious Kitty, er, animals in the news section. We talk about movies coming out we may or may not see. I also finally finished Mindhunter, which left me with a sad. This episode was a lot of fun to record.

  • Episode 4: What We Watched [Nuremberg, The Running Man, Death By Lightning]
    Nov 25 2025

Welcome to your pre-Thanksgiving treat, a convoluted podcast about three big things we've seen this week plus a couple of honorable mentions. First, Nuremberg, which stars Rami Malek and Russel Crowe, is a true story about the psychiatrists who tried to get to the bottom of what made the Nahzees tick during WWII. It's a decent film, and of course also stars Michael Shannon. Then, we go onto the mess that is Running Man, staring Glen Powell. Is it bad? Eh? It's not great. Finally, we conclude with Death By Lightning, which is on Netflix right now. That show tells the true story about President James Garfield's assassination (and also has Michael Shannon, he's everywhere).

So no, we didn't see Bugonia yet, thank god, but I also missed out on Predator Badlands. Shoot.

  • Episode 3: What We Watched [Back to the Future, The Substance, A House of Dynamite]
    Nov 11 2025

Tell me doctor, where are we going this time? Is this the 80s, or 20-25. All I wanted to do, was record a podcast about movies. So take me away, I don't mind, but you better watch Substance if you don't like spoilers. Ok that doesn't rhyme. Anyway, we celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of the best movies ever made, and then review a so-so turd from 2024, The Substance. Plus, we talk about Kathryn Bigelow's movie with no... you're just going to have to listen. Plus, we give a shoutout to Steve Burns. You know, the guy from Blues Clues. He's got a good podcast we recommend. Check it out!

  • Episode 2: What We Watched [Black Phone 2, Roofman, The Perfect Neighbor]
    Oct 28 2025

On this episode, we discuss the movie Roofman which has Kirsten (Unst) Dunst, and Channing Tatum, and is based on the true story of Jeffery Manchester, who managed to escape prison and live in a Toys R Us store for 6 months. How was that even possible? How did he not get caught, and why was the pawn shop so oblivious?
Then, we break down the horror flick The Black Phone 2. Is it really horror though, or a thriller? Ethan Hawke dons some ice skates for this one (yes, this is real), and returns as the scary Grabber along with the original cast. This time, they're stuck up at a mountain camp by a blizzard, and this time, it's Gwen who the Grabber targets. Does Upham have a bigger part? Listen to find out.
Finally, we bring up the VERY frustrating and blood boiling documentary that everyone else is talking about - The Perfect Neighbor, which is on Netflix. This documentary is about a lady who could be described as the biggest Karen there ever was. Seriously, this lady has some mental health problems. That, or she's just a bi*ch. Or both.
Next time on the pod, we will talk about the Oscar bait film Bagonia or whatever it is, where Emma Stone and Jessie Plemmons try to out act each other. That, and Back to the Future is celebrating it's 40th anniversary this year. Can't pass up an actual good movie there.

  • Episode 1: What We Watched [One Battle After Another/The Pitt]
    Oct 14 2025

We're back! No more long topics about nothing and life hacks. That's all done. We're bringing back to the show to give you recommendations of movies and television shows to watch, because who doesn't want another podcast that does that.
On this episode, we discuss PTA's new masterpiece One Battle After Another, which as of this posting, is still in theaters. Go see it before it leaves. Keep in mind, it's 3 hours long, but you DO NOT feel those three hours.
One Battle After Another stars Leonardo Dicaprio, Benicio Del Toro, and Sean Penn. It's directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights).
The Pitt is an emmy winning HBO Max exclusive show that is currently available on that platform. Both are recommended.
Our skip this week is: Death of a Unicorn. Just seriously, skip it. It sucks.

  • Episode 2: The West Bend Cache Bash Episode
    Aug 23 2023

Hey it's good to be back home again... especially with what happened during the weekend that was. Our third outing to the West Bend Cache Ba$h in West Bend, Wisconsin was... well, not the charm. Hey, it's not my fault Nissan cars aren't as reliable as Toyota. It IS my fault that my car has over 180,000 miles on it. It's not my fault that alternators are designed to fail at set intervals.

What else did we do at West Bend? Listen to the pod to find out.
Huge shoutout to Russ Darrow Nissan of West Bend! Their awesomeness got us home. They even called us a few days later to make sure we got home. If you're in the West Bend area and in need of a Nissan, go there. They didn't pay us to write this.

There's also a Kittehs in the News segment in this episode, and we briefly touch on the tragedy in Hawaii. If you have the means to help the victims of the fire in Hawaii, here is an article that has information you need to know.

  • Episode 1: A Day Late and a Podcast Short
    Aug 9 2023

Sorry about that. This was supposed to come out on Tuesday (yesterday). It wasn't edited at that point. What? I got addicted to That 70's Show, and totes forgot to go upstairs and edit it. You would too. So.... Welcome to season four. We had a fairly busy summer. Not as busy as last year that it needed to be divided into three episodes. We did see some concerts, and we did watch a lot of movies, so we'll catch you up.
Also, Bonker is doing just fine. He's a good boyeeee!

We also give you some organization tips because Melanie is in need of organization skills. I am too.

Bonus: This episode contains an EVP!!! A voice we can't explain! It happens during the Indiana Jones review, and is a lower voice right before Justin says something. We think he's talking about the steroid androlics. Maybe the spirit was a body builder and doesn't want us to OD on steroids? This genuinely baffled us!

  • Episode 22: Getcher Garden Going Goober!
    May 2 2023

Okay okay! We missed last week. Sorry! Things happen. You were busy too, admit it.
As we approach summer in about three weeks, we're curious as to where the heck springtime is. For most of the northern part of the US, Mother Nature has been on a tirade of nanny nanny boo boo weather. Mother Nature can't get her act together with the weather, but that shouldn't stop you with getting a garden going!

In this episode, we're getting anxious too, because it's freaking freezing here Mr. Bigglesworth. Here are some tips as to what you can plant NOW, and things you should do to get a garden going in no time. You probably know all these things, but why not hear them again?

This is the final episode before next season starts back up in August. We want to wish you the best of summers imaginable. We hope it eventually gets warm enough to enjoy it here. CBC isn't going anywhere, we just do this every year where we run away and have fun. You should too. We'll come back with all new episodes.

As always, keep up with us on Facebook at our group here!
If you're an Instagrammer, you can find us on the gram here.
We might be doing garden updates, OR, the DXCast might return again this year. We haven't decided yet. Watch this feed!
