During a Hogsmeade trip for quill shopping, Lily and Mary tease Remus about Christopher possibly fancying him, making Sirius defensive. In the village, Regulus Black and Barty Crouch Jr. harass Christopher and Remus with homophobic slurs, leading to a wand confrontation where Sirius appears to defend them and faces off against his brother Regulus.
