  • Whispers Beneath the Trees: The Disappearance of Theresa Ann Bier
    Dec 14 2025
In June of 1987, sixteen-year-old Theresa Ann Bier vanished in the rugged wilderness near Shuteye Peak outside of Bass Lake, California — and the explanation given for her disappearance would become one of the strangest in true crime history.

Theresa had gone into the mountains with an older man she trusted, reportedly on a trip to look for Bigfoot. She never came home. The man returned alone, offering shifting stories — including the chilling claim that Theresa had been taken by a creature lurking in the forest.

Despite extensive searches and decades of investigation, Theresa was never found. In this episode of Chillworthy, we step into the dense Sierra Nevada woods to examine the facts, the contradictions, and the eerie silence left behind.

What really happened beneath the trees that day? And why does this case continue to haunt investigators more than 35 years later?

This is the story of a young girl, a wilderness that keeps its secrets, and whispers that refuse to fade.

  • Cold Waters of Minneapolis: The Chris Jenkins Case
    Dec 6 2025
On Halloween night 2002, 21-year-old college student Chris Jenkins stepped out for a celebration at a Minneapolis bar — wearing a costume, carrying no coat, phone, or wallet, and full of holiday-spirit. Not long after midnight, he was kicked out. A few hours later, Chris vanished.

Four months later, his body was recovered from the Mississippi River, caught between logs near downtown Minneapolis. What began as a supposed drunken accident or suicide grew into a far darker mystery: discrepancies in the police investigation, conflicting forensic findings, and claims by Chris’s family that he was abducted, assaulted, and thrown into the river.

In this episode of Chillworthy — Cold Waters of Minneapolis: The Chris Jenkins Case — we retrace the night that changed everything. We examine the bar-exit, the missing belongings, the conflicting testimonies, and the haunting questions left unanswered. Was it a tragic accident? A moment of despair? Or a targeted act of violence? Despite the official ruling of homicide, no one has ever been charged. The river took Chris, but justice remains lost.

We know some of you were waiting on Part 2 of “Screams in the Sunshine State.” Unfortunately, technical issues caused the loss of that episode — we’re genuinely sorry. We’re working hard behind the scenes to recover or re-record it, and we’ll share an update as soon as we can. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and support.

    Nov 29 2025
In August 1990, Gainesville, Florida was shaken to its core. Over the span of just four days, five young college students were brutally murdered — a series of attacks that plunged the city into fear and forever altered the lives of families, classmates, and an entire community.
