  • Episode #33 - Songs #2360-#2341
    Sep 17 2025

Leave me fan mail message! I welcome all feedback!

Episode 33 discusses songs #2360-#2341, as we inch closer and closer to the #1 song in Billboard History. Artists featured include:

    | Billy Joel
    | Elvis Presley
    | Phil Collins
    | Ace
    | All-4-One
    | Bon Jovi
    | Three Dog Night
    | The Jacksons & Mick Jagger (Yes, that song)

Some music chart heavyweights have come to play in Episode #33, first time hits for Billy Joel while the 3rd hit for War! Lots of 70's and 80's tunes, no song after 1998. We have a #1 hit that tells you exactly how long it was number 1 for, we have our special segment on the year 1958 and why it's so underrepresented in the Hot 100.

AND the most amazing coincidence in chart history. At least to me, anyway. And probably to you once you hear it.

Episode 32 discusses songs #2380-#2361, as we inch closer and closer to the #1 song in Billboard History. Artists featured include:

    | Bruce Hornsby & The Range
    | Run-DMC
    | .38 Special
    | Elton John
    | Mariah Carey
    | Don Henley
    | Barry White
    | Tommy James & the Shondells

One of my favorite set lists, we have 70's and 80's galore and a great group of critically and commercially acclaimed songs. Elton John swears a little? Run-DMC with their ground breaking 80's hit, a remake of a classic that became another classic and then another classic, Don Henley and Bruce Hornsby make their debuts into this countdown, and 2 #1 hits, including the 4th #1 song from Mariah Carey already in this countdown!! You will love this set list, come listen!

    | Jay-Z & Kanye West

This episode takes a bit of a break from the 70's-80's Casey era and makes most of its travels to the parent's generation, and the kid's generation. Late 50's, 60's hits from all the different genres, and plenty of hip hop from the 00's and 10's. Jessica Simpson makes her debut in this set, and Mariah Carey has her 3rd of 19 #1's land here, this one a remake of another #1 hit. We have one of the funnier novelty hits of all-time, and our special segment is on the best hits in Billboard History that peaked at #18. Come take a listen as we burrow through the #2300's!

Episode 30 discusses songs #2420-#2401, as we complete 20% of the entire countdown, and inch closer and closer to the #1 song in Billboard History. Artists featured include:

    | The Beatles
    | The Jets
    | Kenny Rogers
    | Stealers Wheel
    | Nelly
    | Aretha Franklin
    | SWV
    | Procol Harum

A pleasant, groovy setlist!!! Almost all the songs here have a sweet mild vibe to it, perfect for reminiscing about days long past. We have a song where the demo was released OVER the recorded version (by another artist), but the studio accidentally credited the recorded version artist instead of the demo! Wild! Nelly makes his first appearance, as does Kenny Rogers (You picked a fine time to...). Aretha does what she does best, take some wonderful music and make it even better. And what are the top songs in Billboard history that peaked at #19? Find out in this wonderful, GROOVY set of 20 songs. All with my charming whimsy!

Some great hip-hop entries, the first female empowerment anthem of the rock era, and a song that was going to hit #1, if Beatlemania didn't strike THAT WEEK. Special feature on the Top 6 songs in Billboard history that peaked at #20. So much fun in this episode! It'll get you all nostalgic.
