This post from Damon West (@damonwest7) really is a very powerful and uplifting reminder for all of us. He shared this: “When I was locked up, I told the guys around me, “When I get out, I’m coming back to bring hope.” Now I walk back into those prisons and they remind me: You said you’d come back, and you did. Because in life, especially in the darkest places, your word is everything.” Our world - throughout history - has always needed hope. Now even more so!! This is such a powerful and much needed reminder that we all need to bring more hope to others (and ourselves) - keep your word when you make promises to yourself and others. Your word is also carried in your Character & Actions too. They all go together. We all have our own stories in life - keep bringing hope to others through your story!! I came across a great post from Bob Starkey (@CoachBobStarkey) where he shared this gem: “Patience does not mean standing still…it means working hard, pushing forward, taking action — knowing that in time success will arrive.” What a powerful reminder for myself and hopefully you, that being patient still involves some action. I was reminded that while I’m trying to be patient, I can just sit there thinking that just “waiting” will get me through the things or situations I’m waiting on or that those things will be fixed without any effort by me. One thing for sure, the people in my life that I have good relationships with, they can be there if I need to lean on them. Again, relationships can help in so many areas of life. One thing for sure, I do need to work on having more patience for sure. Thanks for listening.
