In January 2023, chaos erupted at Richneck Elementary School after a gunshot in Abby Zwerner’s first-grade classroom rang out. A six-year-old student had shot Zwerner through her hand and into her chest. Now, the former teacher is suing Ebony Parker, an assistant principal at the time of the shooting, for millions of dollars, claiming that she willfully ignored multiple warnings that the six-year-old had brought a gun to school.
