À propos de cet audio
The Hopkins Post 320 Millers opened their season with a 2-1 victory over Prior Lake Junior Legion 17U in a pitcher's duel. Hopkins' win was anchored by pitcher Liam Cowley, who delivered a complete game, recording all 21 outs over seven innings while allowing only one run on seven hits and striking out five. The decisive runs for Hopkins came in the bottom of the third inning. Will Johnston sparked the 3rd inning with a double and later advancing to third. The scoring was initiated by an Ethan Nguyen sacrifice fly and immediately followed by a Michael Saladino double that brought in the second run. Prior Lake managed to score their single run in the top of the seventh inning on a Carter Benedict single. While Prior Lake out-hit Hopkins seven to four and committed no errors compared to Hopkins' one, the Millers secured the narrow opening day win played in chilly, drizzly rain.
