I have known John Sparks on and off through several artist retreats and through his wife Christine. We have seen each other grow and learn and create over the years, and this latest expression of chakra healing seems like a potent example of John’s life work. My guest is Baker Mukasa Actor, Singer, Teacher and Lover of Life! I have had the privilege of getting to know Baker Mukasa in the context of an artist workshop. Baker is the youngest participant in our group and met our teacher Kath through the Youth Music Theatre or YMT organization in England. In our interview Baker describes a play where his character has a role of being the custodian of another character named Joy, but I think this is also applicable to Baker himself. I’ve witnessed his amazing singing in a full throated late night jam session and I think that custodian of Joy is a label he could easily carry.

My guest is Emily Sly an artist exploring improvisational Fooling and Clowning and Singing. I met Emily as we are both participants of a course called PathMakers, and I was not aware until I witnessed Emily sharing her clown with the group that she was in fact a clown, and I was overjoyed and delighted! Emily has some profound insights about how creativity within her family shaped her life. Emily shares a few of her poems with us as well.
