With Katie gone, Fiona and Imogen scheme to end Marisol's reign as president by throwing an end-of-semester holiday carnival. Meanwhile, Fiona finds out her mother is in legal trouble and that their assets have been frozen. Also, Clare agrees to put together a school newspaper in a week, meaning she has to reconcile with old friends. And Maya, an expert cellist, has trouble fitting in with the Grade 9 band.Fiona is upset over having to leave Degrassi on top of dealing with funding for the expensive carnival and her growing feelings for Imogen.
