Disney celebrates America's 250th with new version of Soarin’ Last month, Disney announced that the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States will kick-off on Veterans day, November 11th, and continue through July 4th, 2026. The biggest piece of news is that Soarin’ will be updated to “Soarin’ across America” in summer 2026. In addition, both coasts will have extended fireworks presentations for from July 3rd through July 5th. In addition, there will be a 24-hour long media event across Disney platforms on July 4th, as well as merchandise surrounding the holiday. To celebrate veterans, on November 11th Disney announced steep discounts for veterans, including a Walt Disney World ticket valid for 2026 for all active and retired military members for only $499+ tax. In addition Disney is also offering a 6-day Park Hopper pass for $449+ tax, as well as 5-day and 4-day ticket deals for military members. These offers are valid January 1 through December 18, 2026, with an advanced theme park reservation and subject to blockout dates from March 29 – April 11, 2026 and November 22 – 28, 2026. Discounts are also offered on Disneyland tickets for active and retired military, with discounted 3-Day and 4-Day Park Hopper tickets valid for visits January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, and a 1-Day, 1-Park Disneyland Resort Military Adult Ticket. Disney Cruise Line is offering special military rates on select cruises, and eligible active and retired US military personnel can earn a $250 onboard credit per stateroom for all 2026 sailings from Florida aboard the Disney Wish and Disney Dream. Source: Disney Parks Blog - 250th Celebration Details, Disney Parks Blog - Military Ticket Offers EPCOT Festival of the Arts official dates announced The 2026 Festival of the Arts at EPCOT is slightly extended from past years, running a full 39 days from January 16 to February 23rd,2026. The event will continue to showcase Broadway entertainers now expanded to seven nights per week. There will also be food booths, artists sales, and the return of a special display of costumes and memorabilia from Disney’s Broadway at Communicore. The displays are promised to be significantly different from last year. Remy's fans will spot new props and lighting enhancements when they are added to the queue and attraction over the next few months. Source: WDW Magic Changes to Bars at Poly and Grand Floridian The Perch Lobby Bar at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort officially opened for business on November 10th. The bar serves wine, beer and specialty cocktails. This new bar was inspired by the large birdcage that used to be in the Grand Floridian lobby. This is all part of the full refurbishment of the main salon area that has been going on at the resort. In addition, Walt Disney World announced that the Wailulu Bar and Grill at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Island Tower will end the current walk-up policy and begin taking reservations. DVC members get exclusive early access to Zootopia: Better Zoogether Walt Disney World has announced special Disney Vacation Club Member preview days for the new Tree of Life attraction called Zootopia: Better Zoogether. With the attraction set to open to the public on November 7th, previews for DVC members have been announced for November 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Guests must have rooms booked by October 19th and the Registration date is scheduled to open on October 23rd. It is expected to work similar to the queue for Moonlight Magic. If you have an annual pass, there are also AP previews scheduled for November 5th and 6th. The attraction will use a virtual queue system for those days. The queue will open at 7:00am for passholders with a theme park reservation. A second queue window opens at 1:00pm daily which does not require a park reservation. Source: DVC News Disneyland and Walt Disney World roll out price increases Walt Disney World has raised one-day ticket prices which affect tickets for October 2025 through December 2026. The ticket range for a single day ticket for each park is now as follows: Magic Kingdom: $159 – $209 (increase of $10)EPCOT: $139 – $209 (increase of $15)Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $149 – $204 (increase of $5)Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $119 – $184 (increase of $5) Park hopper tickets and multi-day tickets for the last quarter of 2026 also show a year-over-year increase. Parking also increased from $30 to $35 for standard rates. In addition, Disney has removed the discount on ordering a magic band with your resort reservation, which usually save $10 off the price. Annual Pass prices increased as well, though, with the exception of the Incredi-Pass, the increases were moderate: Pixie Dust Pass: $489 (previously $469)Pirate Pass: $869 (previously $829)Sorcerer Pass: $1,099 (previously $1,079)Incredi-Pass: $1,629 (previously $1,549) Disney PhotoPass Downloads and the Water Park and Sports Option both increased from $99 to $109 per pass. Disneyland Resort also got in on the game, with new Magic Key prices as follows: Inspire: now $1,899 (increased $150 from $1,749)Believe: now $1,474 (increased $100 from $1,374)Enchant: now $974 (no change)Imagine: now $599 (no change) Parking also increased by $5 in all categories with the base price at $40. These tickets are good for January 1st to May 21st 2026 and do not have to be used on consecutive days. Source: Walt Disney World and Disneyland, Disneyland Ticket Offer Mickey’s Philharmagic and Vacation Fun to close for short refurbishment Mickey’s Philharmagic at Magic Kingdom will be closing from November 1st to November 22nd for a short refurbishment. Walt Disney World’s operating schedule shows it will return on November 23rd just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. In addition, the Mickey Shorts Theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios, currently showing Vacation Fun - An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie, will be closed starting October 20th. Hoop Dee Holidays returns for Members in December Disney Vacation Club Hoop Dee Holidays is back for 2025 with two exclusive performances for eligible Members. The performance will include a unique themed pre-show, a special commemorative keepsake, and a variety of holiday touches to the classic show presented at Pioneer Hall at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Member showings are scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, and Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Doors open at 4:00pm and 6:15pm for the two nightly performances, with the show beginning 20 minutes later. Pricing is as follows: Category 1: $83.00 per person (Ages 10 and older), $50.00 per person (Ages 3 to 9)Category 2: $79.00 per person (Ages 10 and older), $46.00 per person (Ages 3 to 9)Category 3: $75.00 per person (Ages 10 and older), $45.00 per person (Ages 3 to 9) Each Member can make reservations for a party of up to 12 (Member plus 11 guests.) Source: DVC News, Disney Vacation Club website Members get extra treats for certain Holiday party dates Members attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on Fridays can stop by McKim’s Mile House in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom between 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM and pick up a free holiday souvenir magnet. Disney Jollywood Nights joins in the DVC Member magic on Monday, November 17th and 24th. Members can stop by the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost in Echo Lake at Disney's Hollywood Studios for a sweet treat and hot cocoa. Source: DVC News, DIsney Vacation Club website Add-on contract policy changed to allow for smaller contracts at all resorts Current Disney Vacation Club Members have always been able to add-on small point contracts direct from Disney. While a new Member has to purchase a minimum of 100 points to join DVC direct, a current Member can add onto their contracts with as few as 25 points through direct purchase at most resorts. However, newer resorts do not fall under that 25 point minimum, and existing Members have been required to purchase a minimum of 50 points at the The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Riviera Resort, or The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. This requirement has recently changed and now Members can add-on 25-points to any resort in the DVC portfolio. Source: DVC News Membership Magic Beyond returns in 2026 Disney Vacation Club has announced that the Membership Magic Beyond benefit will return in 2026. This program started in 2025 and provides special ticket discounts, a 30-day memory maker benefit, annual passes for points, half-price one-time use points, priority lounge access, and a special character meet and greet. DVC has not confirmed if the price will remain at $99 but did indicate that the meet and greet after hours at the Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium – A Member Lounge at EPCOT will change from Nick and Jody of Zootopia to Mickey and Minnie Mouse in exclusive DVC outfits. Disney has also hinted at new perks but nothing has been announced. Membership Magic Beyond runs with the calendar year, not use year or 12-months from purchase. Source: DVC News DVC Pool Closures, and Spaceship Earth reopening date DVC has announced that the Miller’s Road pool at Old Key West will be closed for refurbishment from September 29th through late November. Three other pools on property will remain available for guest use, including the sandcastle feature pool. The Paddock Pool at Saratoga Springs is scheduled to close on October 13th with a planned reopening in early December. Though previously announced, the Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower will be closing January 26th through Early May. Finally, Disney has announced that Spaceship Earth is scheduled to reopen on October 25th after a two-month closure. Details of the refurbishment have not been disclosed but there is not expected to be any major changes to the ride during such a short closure.
