À propos de cet audio

Danger with Grainger was one of several series produced by Radio syndicator Harry S. Goodman in the mid-1950s. The episodes were recorded for Australia for syndication, particularly for the US market, where union contracts with the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists couldn't keep radio drama profitable for networks in an era where radio advertising dollars were losing ground to television.

Goodman's series tried to sound as American as possible by featuring as many US expats living in Australia living in Australia as possible. The case was led by Tennessee-born actor Harp McGuire, who played New York private detective Steve Grainger.

The series is also titled on many Internet sites as Danger with Granger. The confusion of spelling of the protagonist's name dates to its original airing, as newspapers from different cities would spell the last name differently.

This is part of the Great Detectives of Old Time Radio podcast and is hosted by Adam Graham who serves as your guide through the series.Copyright Adam Graham
