Today we honor St. Mechtilde of Helfta, a Benedictine nun and mystic whose life of prayer, visions, and devotion to the Sacred Heart deeply influenced the Church. Though she lived in the 13th century and her feast is celebrated on November 19, she remains beloved for her “Book of Special Grace” and her extraordinary encounters with Christ.
In this episode, join Saul on The Road to Damascus as he shares 7 cool facts about St. Mechtilde from her childhood at Helfta, to her musical gift, to her mystical revelations, and the healing grace that followed her life.
🕊️ Let her story remind you that holiness is found in prayer, humility, and love for God above all.

— James 4:8
✝️ Prayer to St. Mechtilde of Helfta
St. Mechtilde, beloved daughter of Helfta,
teach us to live in constant prayer,
to hear the whisper of Christ’s Heart,
and to serve Him with humble devotion.
Pray for us, that we may cling to God’s mercy,
and reflect His love in every moment of our lives.
Amen.
