MH370 continues to be a global news phenomenon and the Malaysian authorities continue to bungle aspects of the investigation. Attention turns to the pilot, Captain Zaharie Shah. Could he have played a role in the disappearance? 

7th July 2014. Another Malaysian plane is shot down by Russians over Ukraine. The waters are suddenly muddied. Witnesses also claim to have seen a plane go down in the Maldives.

The Australian search continues but are they looking in the right place? Some wreckage is found on Reunion island which turns the investigation on its head (again). Peter encounters a kindred spirit.

Despite the discovery of the ‘No Step’ wreckage, there is still no coordinated international search along the coastline of East Africa. Enter Blaine Gibson, an amateur sleuth.
