  • REPLAY - The Reluctant Healer with David Elliott
    May 1 2025

In this inspiring episode, Devi sits down with David Elliott, a reluctant yet devoted healer with over 25 years of experience guiding others on their journeys of transformation. David shares how his early career as an actor evolved into a profound calling to help others heal by nurturing self-awareness, resilience, and creative expression.

Through his lifelong study of nature and human potential, David has uncovered timeless truths about growth and healing. He emphasizes how our stories and traumas, while painful, can become sources of strength and empowerment when met with self-love and gratitude. His work is grounded in the power of breathwork, which he discovered in 1989, and he weaves this practice together with tools like writing, artistic expression, and gratitude rituals to help others reconnect with their inner selves.

Together, Devi and David explore the transformative impact of inner work, the healing power of breath, and the art of turning life’s challenges into catalysts for growth. They dive into David’s experiences at the Omega Institute, his spiritual journey, and the role of intuition and daily practices in cultivating a deeper connection to the self and the spiritual realm. This episode offers practical insights for anyone looking to integrate healing, creativity, and gratitude into their life.

  • What is Religious Trauma? with Ann Russo
    Apr 24 2025

In this powerful episode, Devi is joined by mental health advocate and thought leader Anne Russo for a conversation that speaks directly to the hearts of those healing from religious trauma. Anne brings deep wisdom and compassion as we explore what it means to reclaim your agency after experiencing harm in spiritual or religious spaces.

Together, they dive into the often-unspoken complexities of religious trauma — how it impacts identity, self-worth, and the connection to something greater. Anne shares her groundbreaking Religious Trauma Treatment Model, offering a path toward healing that honors both faith and authenticity, especially for those in the queer community who have felt excluded or erased.

“What is the definition of religious trauma?

If you think of PTSD, know where depression, anxiety, difficult functioning, challenges in relationships, you're just, overall, something has impacted you that is making life harder to live in a sense. And in this situation, we're talking about religion, and sometimes with PTSD, we can think of it as like a one-time event. I was in a car accident. I'm afraid to be in a car.

But with religious trauma, especially if you're raised in the church, you're going through these events over and over and over. So it becomes very, very complex. It impacts how you view yourself in relation to creation, deity, faith systems, scriptures, and how you navigate the world in these communities.”

This conversation is a reminder that true healing requires safe spaces, cultural competence, and deep humility from those who hold space for others. Whether you’ve personally experienced spiritual harm or are simply seeking to understand and support others on their journey, this episode invites you into a space of empathy, restoration, and radical self-reclamation.

  • The Wounded Healer with Devi Brown
    Apr 17 2025

In this deeply personal episode, Devi opens her heart to reflect on the ever-evolving journey of healing, authenticity, and what it means to truly live in alignment. As she prepares to share her upcoming book Living in Wisdom with the world, she takes a moment to honor the path that brought her here, one filled with lessons from chronic pain, the power of self-expression, and the beauty of community support.

She expounds on the complexities of healing — how it’s not linear, not always graceful, but always sacred. Devi speaks to the importance of honoring our humanity, our physical bodies, and the tenderness it takes to keep showing up for ourselves day after day. We also explore how meditation is a portal to deeper knowing, the spiritual expansion that comes with self-compassion, and what it really means to share your truth out loud.

As Devi prepares for her book tour, she reflects on the courage it takes to put your story into the world — and how healing becomes even more powerful when it’s done in community. This is a conversation for anyone learning to trust their process, lean into their softness, and live from a place of embodied truth.
