  • Everyday Gospel: The Gospel With US
    Nov 13 2025

Despite having unprecedented access to Bible studies, podcasts, and worship services, many Christians still struggle to see how the Gospel applies to their everyday lives. The issue isn't a lack of biblical content but rather the absence of intentional community where believers regularly speak Gospel truth into each other's lives when they forget it.

Gospel fluency requires more than consuming information; it demands being with others who know Jesus and commit to reminding one another of His truth. True gospel-centered community goes beyond offering simple empathy during struggles. Instead of just saying sorry when someone faces difficulties, Gospel-focused friends enter into each other's lives with the good news of what Jesus has accomplished. They understand that Christ is better than anything the world offers as a source of hope or encouragement. This means moving past surface-level conversations to ask more profound questions about spiritual growth, how we're nourishing our flesh versus our spirit, and where God is at work in our lives.

Practical transformation occurs when we apply four key questions to help others see how the Gospel addresses their specific situations: What Gospel truth do they need to hear? What have they forgotten or failed to believe? How is Jesus better than what they have or want? How does the Gospel bring good news to their circumstances? By understanding the overarching Bible story of Creation, Fall, Rescue, and Restoration, we can locate any struggle within God's bigger narrative and consistently point to Jesus as the solution and hero of every story.

  • Everyday Gospel | Fall 2025 | Lesson 4
    Nov 6 2025

The Gospel offers incredible power for everyday life, not just eternal salvation. However, many believers struggle to experience this transformation because they haven't learned to apply Gospel truth to their daily thoughts, emotions, and circumstances. A key indicator of our spiritual health is what we naturally discuss, as we engage with topics that capture our hearts. If we're not regularly discussing Jesus and His work in our lives, it may reveal that our affections have grown stronger for lesser things. Rather than bringing guilt, this realization should invite us to pursue Jesus again, much like rekindling affection in marriage.

We can reignite our love for Christ by reading through the Gospels, engaging in spiritual disciplines, and recalling our initial experience of love with Him. The daily battle for our minds requires us to capture and examine our thoughts in accordance with Scripture, rather than accepting every thought as truth.

Practical transformation happens when we trace the fruit in our lives back to the roots of our beliefs. Negative emotions and sinful patterns often stem from wrong beliefs about God's character. By asking four gospel-forming questions and working through a root-to-fruit exercise, we can identify lies we're believing and replace them with biblical truth. This process requires intentional effort, Scripture memorization, and community support, but it leads to genuine daily transformation as we learn to preach the Gospel to ourselves.

  • Discovering God's Heart for the Nations | Fall 2025 | Lesson 11
    Oct 30 2025

The story of Nehemiah provides a powerful framework for understanding how God transforms our burdens into purposeful ministry. When Nehemiah learned about Jerusalem's destroyed walls and unprotected people, it created an overwhelming burden he couldn't shake. This pattern reflects how God often begins His work in our lives—by allowing us to see needs that break our hearts. The journey from burden to purpose follows a clear and progressive path. First comes the burden itself, followed by prayer, where we discover that our concerns align with God's heart. Through sustained prayer, burden transforms into passion—the energizing force that makes us willing to take risks and make sacrifices. This passion then leads to practical planning and action. Real-life applications vary widely based on our season and circumstances. Some are called to care for aging parents with dementia, initially feeling this takes them away from ministry, only to discover this is exactly where God wants them. Others feel drawn to nursing homes and assisted living facilities, serving forgotten elderly residents who built our country but now rarely receive visitors. Still others are burdened for vulnerable children—orphaned, fostered, or at-risk—finding ways to provide practical support or direct care. The key is recognizing that different seasons of life bring different capacities for ministry involvement, and God calls us to be faithful wherever we are, starting with small steps in our immediate circles.
