À propos de cet audio
Okay, I’m making it seem like being a tall woman sucks. And truth be told, it DOES suck sometimes, but overall, it is a beautiful experience. Truly. There are so many things to love about being a tall girly.
However, I’m not gonna lie to y’all. There are other features in addition to our height that often play a part in our unique experiences that can negatively affect us. For example, I did an episode discussing the unique struggles tall Black women face based on different stereotypes, like aggressive, intimidating, etc.
I essentially said that being Black often leads to people associating these women with those stereotypes, and being tall kind of doubles down on those stereotypes, if you get what I mean.
And now it’s been brought to my attention that the tall plus-sized girlies have their own unique set of struggles. From clothes to being on the receiving end of aggressive behaviors to oversexualization, the tall plus-sized girlies are going through it.
And we’re gonna get a little deeper into this topic in today’s episode, so tune in!
