In this first episode of season 4, we discuss why we should even care about the history of the church in the first place. • Season 4 Bonus Episode 1: Even Better Than Eden (with Nancy Guthrie)
    May 8 2024

Welcome to Season 4 of Down Under Theology, a podcast equipping and encouraging Australian Christians to get down and under the theology impacting the life and mission of the church.

In this special bonus episode, we're joined by friend of the show, Nancy Guthrie, to talk about Biblical Theology. We chat to Nancy about how she thinks we can describe the story of the Bible in four simple words. We hone in on the particular theme of 'consummation' - the idea that God is not bringing all things simply back to how it was in the garden, rather bringing all things to a completion that is 'even better than Eden'.

Nancy Guthrie is a speaker and author of several books, including "Even Better Than Eden: Nine ways the Bible's story changes everything about your story". Nancy is coming out to Australia in May and June 2024 to run a series of events in partnership with The Gospel Coalition Australia - for more information and to sign up to her workshops, visit https://www.qtc.edu.au/nancy-guthrie-2024/.

  • S3 Bonus Episode 5: We Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (with Dr Brandon D. Crowe)
    Dec 4 2023

Welcome to Season 3 of Down Under Theology, a podcast equipping and encouraging Australian Christians to get down and under the theology impacting the life and mission of the church.

In this special bonus episode, we chat with Dr Brandon D. Crowe about his newly released book, The Lord Jesus Christ: The Biblical Doctrine of the Person and Work of Christ (Lexham Press, 2023). This work, the first in the We Believe series edited by our very own Murray Smith and John McClean, combines biblical, historical, and theological study to examine Christ, our Redeemer. The book is written from a confessionally Reformed perspective in dialogue with the creeds of the church, and forms a faithful and thorough guide to understanding Jesus and his work of salvation.

Dr. Brandon D. Crowe is professor of New Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary and book review editor for the Westminster Theological Journal.
