It's spooky season so it's getting dark.

This week Sam recounts the harrowing story of the Kurim case, a horrific child abuse scandal that emerged in the Czech Republic in 2007.
This gripping story unveiled a clandestine cult shrouded in manipulation and cruelty, as well as the shocking revelation of a 33-year-old woman who was ...hiding a secret.

The case first came to light in May 2007 when a man in Kurim inadvertently intercepted his neighbor's baby monitor signal. What he witnessed was nothing short of horrifying: unsettling images of a naked and bound young boy named Ondrej, imprisoned in a cupboard.

Dean Corll was an American serial killer who operated in Texas during the early 1970s. Often referred to as the "Candy Man" due to his family's candy factory, Corll, along with two accomplices, was responsible for the abduction, torture, and murder of at least 28 young boys. Sam also touches on the story of John Wayne Gacy.

Jeff tells the legendary story of Cleveland's 1974 Ten Cent Beer Night. What could go wrong ... did. As the game progressed, the crowd became increasingly unruly, with many fans visibly intoxicated. Tensions escalated when a fight broke out on the field. The situation deteriorated quickly, leading to fans storming the field and engaging in violent behavior, including throwing objects and brawling both with each other and with the players. And that was just the beginning.

The story of Bernard Bouriscot and Shi Pei Pu is a fascinating and complex tale that revolves around themes of deception, identity, espionage and love. In the 1980s, French diplomat Bernard Bouriscot fell in love with Shi Pei Pu, a Chinese opera singer, while stationed in China. The relationship unfolded amidst cultural and political tensions, with Bouriscot finding out, over time, that Shi Pei Pu wasn't exactly the person Bouriscot thought.
