👨⚕️ About the Speaker
Dr. Alfonso Fasano is a neurologist specializing in movement disorders, with roles in both Italy and Canada. He is Professor of Neurology at Humanitas University and Head of Neurology at Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan. He also holds a professorship in the Department of Medicine (Division of Neurology) at the University of Toronto and is a staff neurologist at Toronto Western Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children.
Dr. Fasano’s main research interests include using advanced technologies—such as infusion pumps and brain stimulation—to treat Parkinson’s disease, tremor, and walking disorders. He has published over 500 scientific articles, and serves on the editorial boards of leading journals in neurology and movement disorders. He is also actively involved in clinical trials and international research groups.
