Meet the guest: Dr. Amy Schmidt received her B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Iowa State University and her Ph.D. in Biological Engineering from Mississippi State University. She is currently a professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where her research focuses on manure utilization, livestock regulatory policy, and emerging contaminants in agriculture. Her academic career supports integrated systems that improve soil quality and environmental outcomes.
