  • Episode 63: A New Respect for Plants
    Mar 2 2021
Today, I want to share some thoughts on a book I've recently read: In Defense of Plants by Matt Candeias. This book dives into the world of plants and their evolutionary relationships with other living species around them. Some of these relationships get downright weird. But, they're incredible to think about and worth looking into when planning garden species. • Episode 61: Socialism – Natural vs. Systemic
    Feb 25 2021
Today, we have Matt and Jeff with us to talk about socialism, anarchism, and voluntaryism. Jeff has some questions about my opinions on the "perfect world," and it leads to interesting debate and discussion. Mr. Jeff has since said that I, your drunk uncle, am unclear about what it is I truly believe in. I disagree. What I believe is very simple: all human interaction should be conducted on a voluntary basis. In other words, no person should ever be forced to do anything they don't want to do.  That's all there is to it. Government as a whole is a monopoly on violence, coercion and force. All of which, I find reprehensible. Therefore, I am an anarchist and a voluntaryist. This doesn't mean I have all the answers. It means that, in my view of the world and how adult interaction and business should be conducted, that the government's answer is almost always wrong.
