Join us for a very heavy conversation on biraciality in America. The hateful and violent rhetoric spreading in National Conversation regarding immigrants and questioning ethnicity inspired this conversation. The fact that we are both multiracial individuals, we think we share a unique perspective on our experience in America. So we wanted to share our own personal experiences and setting the record straight.

We take a deep dive into ethnicity in American History and how the validity of race is questioned, currently and historically. In fact, the same people who assisted in creating these race variations, are the ones who question their validity. Egregiously, it seems to be based solely on the color of skin, and our idea of America knows better than that ignorance.

Another interesting thing to be listening for is that we go on to discuss other British Colonies in the world and when their independence was earned. Interestingly, we also talk about how historically race and ethnicity during the Census and/or listing on a birth certificate may not look like what we currently know race and ethnicity to be.
